University of Great Falls Commons Project

PROJECT INFO

TC Glass was approached to help design an open concept for learning areas at the UGF University Library. Acoustical privacy was a concern but also a clear visual area was requested with no obstructions.

This was achieved by using heavy glass panels with open vertical edges and a translucent rubber gasket between the glass panels for privacy. Frameless Glass doors were incorporated to provide security to the areas. Although the concept seemed basic, the technical requirements were critical. Tight tolerances are required for this type of product and accuracy is the upmost of importance on applications like these.

The installation and finished project reflected on how this was accomplished.
