MacKenzie River Pizza was a new construction project that used thermally broken aluminum storefront and Low E insulated glass.
Like a lot of commercial projects this was a fast paced project that took constant communication with the general contractor and suppliers to get the proper materials here in time to meet the projects schedule. One of the unique details on this project is the 1” wide surface applied grids on some of the glass. This gives the glass a true divided light look at a fraction of the cost. Also this project required window flashing that transitioned into different building flashings. This took additional communication with the general contractor and other subcontractors to make sure that everyone was on the same page.
In the end the buildings flashing finishes and shapes all matched and had a relatively seamless flow throughout the building. The new MacKenzie River Pizza is a cornerstone restaurant in one of Missoula’s newest shopping centers.
